AI Consulting Services
Six services covering the whole arc — from deciding whether AI is worth doing at all, through to agents running in production with governance around them.
AI Strategy & Roadmap
Decide what to do, and in what order.
Most businesses do not have an AI problem — they have a prioritisation problem. There are twenty things you could automate and no defensible basis for choosing between them. We map your processes end to end, size each opportunity in hours and dollars, weigh it against effort and risk, and sequence the work so the first project funds the second.
More on AI Strategy & RoadmapWhat you get
- Process map across the functions that matter
- Scored opportunity register (value vs effort vs risk)
- Costed 12-month roadmap with expected payback
- Build-vs-buy recommendation for each item
- Board-ready summary you can present as-is
AI Readiness Audit
Find out what breaks before you build on it.
AI projects rarely fail on the model. They fail because the data lives in four systems that disagree, nobody owns the process being automated, or the team was never going to adopt it. The readiness audit inspects your data, systems, process ownership, team capability and risk appetite, then tells you plainly what is ready now, what needs fixing first, and what should wait.
More on AI Readiness AuditWhat you get
- Data quality and availability review across your systems
- Integration assessment — what can be connected, and how
- Process ownership and adoption risk analysis
- Security, privacy and Privacy Act 1988 considerations
- Ranked list of blockers with remediation effort
Implementation
The part where it actually ships.
This is the difference. Our consultants are engineers, so the roadmap does not get thrown over a fence — the team that recommended the work builds it, integrates it with the software you already run, tests it against your real data, and puts it into production. If a recommendation turns out to be harder than we scoped, we are the ones who wear it.
More on ImplementationWhat you get
- Build of the prioritised pilot, typically 3-4 weeks
- Integration with your existing stack (Xero, MYOB, CRM, job management)
- Testing against your real data before go-live
- Production deployment with monitoring and alerting
- Documentation and handover — code and configuration are yours
AI Agents & Automation
Work that completes itself.
Voice agents that answer the phone, chat assistants that handle enquiries, and back-office automations that move data between systems without a human copying and pasting. The rule we hold ourselves to: an agent must finish the job, not create a new queue for someone to review. Anything that just generates more work to check has not been automated.
What you get
- Voice and chat agents wired into your phone and web channels
- Back-office automations across quoting, invoicing and reporting
- Human-in-the-loop checkpoints where the risk warrants them
- Escalation paths so edge cases reach a person, not a dead end
- Reporting on what the agent handled and what it escalated
Team Training & Enablement
Capability that stays after we leave.
Generic AI training teaches your team to write poems. We run role-specific, hands-on sessions using your data and your workflows — what your finance team should use it for, what your sales team should never use it for, and where the line sits. The outcome is a team that uses these tools confidently and knows exactly when to stop and ask a human.
What you get
- Role-specific workshops (leadership, finance, ops, sales, admin)
- Prompt and workflow library built around your actual tasks
- Clear guidance on what must never go into a public AI tool
- Internal champion coaching so capability compounds
- Reference material your team keeps and can onboard new staff with
AI Governance & Policy
Get ahead of the shadow AI already in your business.
Your staff are already pasting company information into public chatbots. The question is whether that happens under a policy or under the radar. We write an AI use policy, data-handling rules and approval pathways sized for an Australian SMB — plain English, enforceable, and aligned to the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles rather than a multinational compliance template.
What you get
- AI acceptable use policy written in plain English
- Data classification and handling rules for AI tools
- Approval pathway for new AI tools and use cases
- Human oversight requirements by risk level
- Register of approved tools and their permitted uses
How We Work Together
Three Ways to Engage
Nearly everyone starts with the audit. Where it goes from there is entirely your call.
Fixed-Price Audit
The usual starting point. A defined scope, a fixed fee of $3,000 + GST, and a costed roadmap you own at the end. No open-ended discovery, no surprise variations, no obligation to proceed to build.
Project Build
A scoped implementation quoted from the roadmap. We agree the outcome, the integration points and the acceptance criteria up front, then build and ship it to production. Priced per project, not per hour of meetings.
Ongoing Advisory
A monthly retainer for businesses working steadily down a roadmap — a standing technical adviser for build-vs-buy calls, vendor reviews, governance and the next phase of work. Cancel with a month’s notice.
Who We Work Well With
We would rather tell you up front that we are the wrong fit than take the engagement and disappoint you six weeks in.
A good fit
- Australian businesses with roughly 20 to 500 staff
- Leaders who have been pitched AI and want an independent read
- Teams drowning in repetitive admin, quoting or data entry
- Businesses where staff are already using AI informally, without a policy
- Organisations that tried an AI pilot and could not get it into production
- Boards asking management for an AI position with evidence behind it
Probably not a fit
- —Under about 20 staff — an off-the-shelf tool is usually the better answer
- —Looking for the cheapest possible hourly rate rather than an outcome
- —Wanting a deck to satisfy a board with no intention of building anything
- —Expecting AI to fix a process nobody has ever defined or owned
