AI Strategy
That Actually Ships

Most AI consulting ends at the slide deck. We do the strategy — then the same team builds it, ships it to production, and stays accountable for whether it works.

The Strategy-Deck Problem

A Roadmap Nobody Can Build Is Just an Expensive Opinion

The familiar pattern: a consultancy spends six weeks on discovery, presents a beautifully formatted transformation roadmap, invoices, and leaves. Twelve months later nothing is in production, because the people who wrote the plan never had to make it survive contact with your actual systems.

We work the other way around. Every recommendation we make has to be something we are prepared to build ourselves, integrate with the software you already run, and hand over working. That single constraint filters out most of the nonsense in AI advice.

What We Do

Strategy and Delivery, From One Team

Six services that cover the whole arc — from working out whether AI is worth doing at all, through to agents running in production with governance around them.

AI Strategy & Roadmap

A prioritised, costed plan for where AI belongs in your business — and, just as importantly, where it does not. We map your processes, size the opportunity, and sequence the work so the first project pays for the second.

AI Readiness Audit

An honest assessment of your data, systems, team and risk appetite before you spend a dollar on build. You get a clear picture of what is ready now, what needs fixing first, and what should wait.

Implementation

We build the thing. Our consultants are engineers, so the roadmap does not get handed to someone else — the same team that wrote it ships it into production and stays on the hook for whether it works.

AI Agents & Automation

Voice agents, chat assistants and back-office automations wired into the systems you already run — Xero, MYOB, your CRM, your job management software — so work actually completes rather than creating a new inbox.

Team Training & Enablement

Practical, role-specific training for the people who will use these tools daily. No theory lectures — hands-on sessions with your own data, your own workflows, and the prompts and guardrails your team will actually reuse.

AI Governance & Policy

An AI use policy, data-handling rules and human-in-the-loop controls that stand up to your board, your insurer and the Privacy Act 1988. Written in plain English, sized for an Australian SMB rather than a bank.

How an Engagement Runs

From First Conversation to Production

No twelve-month discovery phase. We aim to have something real running in your business inside the first quarter.

1

Free Consultation

A no-cost conversation about what you are trying to fix. We will tell you honestly if AI is the wrong tool for it — that answer is free too.

2

AI Opportunity Audit

A fixed-price engagement that maps your processes, scores each opportunity on value and effort, and hands you a costed roadmap you own outright.

3

Build the First Pilot

We pick the highest-value, lowest-risk item and ship it to production — typically in three to four weeks — so you can judge the results, not a demo.

4

Scale & Govern

With one win banked, we work down the roadmap, train your team to run it, and put the governance in place before AI spreads across the business informally.

Our Core Offer

The AI Opportunity Audit

A fixed-price engagement at $3,000 + GST that answers one question properly: where would AI actually pay for itself in your business, and in what order should you do it?

It is built for Australian businesses of roughly 20 staff and up, where there is enough process volume for the mapping to be worth doing. You get a costed roadmap you own outright, and no obligation to have us build any of it. Plenty of clients take the roadmap and run the first project with their own team — that is a perfectly good outcome.

What the audit includes

  • Process discovery workshops with your leadership and operational teams
  • A mapped inventory of every candidate use case across the business
  • Value-vs-effort scoring so the sequence is obvious, not political
  • Data and systems readiness review — what is usable today, what needs work
  • Costed 12-month roadmap with build estimates and expected payback
  • Risk, privacy and governance considerations for each recommendation
  • A board-ready summary you can present without translation
  • Full working files — the deliverable is yours, with no lock-in

Straight Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions Australian business owners actually ask us before they engage.

What makes you different from a big consulting firm?

We implement. Most AI consulting engagements end with a slide deck and a recommendation to hire someone else to build it — which is where the value quietly evaporates. Our consultants are engineers who ship to production, so the person who tells you an idea is viable is the same person who has to make it work. It keeps the advice honest and grounded in what is actually buildable.

How much does the AI Opportunity Audit cost?

The AI Opportunity Audit is $3,000 + GST as a fixed price. It is designed for businesses with roughly 20 or more staff, where there are enough processes and enough people for the mapping work to pay for itself. You keep every deliverable, and there is no obligation to have us build anything afterwards.

Do you offer a free initial consultation?

Yes. The first conversation is free and there is no obligation. We will discuss what you are trying to fix, what you have already tried, and whether AI is a sensible tool for it. If it is not, we will say so — we would rather turn down work than take money for something that will not land.

Are you tied to any particular AI vendor?

No. We are independent, so we have no reseller margin riding on which model or platform you pick. We choose the tool that fits the job and your budget, and we will happily tell you when the sensible answer is a $30/month off-the-shelf product rather than a custom build.

How long before we see something working?

The Opportunity Audit typically runs over two to three weeks depending on your availability for workshops. From there, a first production pilot is usually three to four weeks. We deliberately sequence a fast, visible win first — momentum matters more than scope on the first project.

What size businesses do you work with?

Australian small and mid-market businesses — typically 20 to 500 staff. Below about 20 people there usually is not enough repetitive process volume to justify a paid audit, and we will normally point you at an off-the-shelf tool instead. Above that, the audit consistently finds more than it costs.

Who owns the work you build?

You do. Roadmaps, documentation, code, prompts and configuration are yours, and they are handed over in a form another team could pick up. We do not build dependency on us into the deliverable — if you want to run it in-house afterwards, that is a good outcome.

What if our data is a mess?

That is the normal starting point, and it is exactly what the readiness audit is for. Most Australian businesses have data spread across a job management system, a shared drive, an accounting package and someone’s spreadsheet. We will tell you what is usable now, what needs cleaning first, and what to ignore — rather than quietly building on a foundation that will not hold.
